How to increase font size in Outlook (and reduce a cluttered view)?

One of the great challenges in managing the inbox is the highly cluttered view that it so often presents.

Every letter and number on the screen is a source of distraction that your subconscious mind has to work hard to resist. So, the more we can reduce this cluttered look, the easier to focus and the less low level anxiety and stress we will feel.

In Outlook, there are numerous ways to do this, as follows:

  1. Increase font size of the text on your screen (and in also in emails)

  2. Increase font size in the Preview or Reading pane

  3. Remove unnecessary columns from your inbox

  4. Turn off Message Preview

  5. Use Reading Pane at the ‘Bottom’ instead of ‘Right’

I will be doing a live demonstrating each of these options in this week’s free Dr Email Q&A Forum so make sure you join us on Wednesday 16 August 2023 at 12:30 – 1:30pm or watch the recording if you can’t make it.

The recording will be added to this blog on Thursday 17 August 2023 for future reference.
